Creativity and beauty have always been driving elements in my life. I developed this apprecation as, at a young age, I was awed and inspired by my Grandfather, Junior Jones, who was an accomplished pen and ink artist and cartoonist. Learning soon thereafter that drawing was not my forte, I took up photography in my teens and fine woodworking in my 20's. In the intervening years, I've continued to study and explore photography, extending my capabilities and honing my craft. I primarily work in black and white, which I feel draws the viewer into the image through the interplay of light and darkness, the subtleties of tonality and the purity of image that remains with the color stripped away.
